1 General
1.1 This instruction is suitable for LCW-145 series current transformers.
1.2 It is outdoor type, and suitable for the following service conditions:
1.2.1 Ambient temperature： －20℃～＋50℃
1.2.2 Altitude： Up to 1000m
1.2.3 Creepage Distance： ≥3850mm
2 Check before installation
2.1 The visual check should be done before install, and the following faults can not exist:
2.1.1 The data on rating plate does not meet the requirements;
2.1.2 Oil leakage;
2.1.3 The porcelain was damaged;
2.1.4 Other faults, which can effect product normal operation.
2.2 Check if oil level indication on bellows is normal. (refer to bellows’ installation and operation instruction manual).
3 Transportation and installation
3.1 The CT should be transported at upright state, and should use four lifting lugs on the base to lift. It can not use porcelain or oil conservator to lift CT. During the lifting, the porcelain can not collide with other metal components. Temporary slope angle of PT can not larger than 15°.
3.2 The CT should be installed and fixed on horizontal flat with foundation bolts.
3.3 The cables connecting to secondary terminal should put in through the outlet hole under the terminal box.
3.4 Before connection, the dirt and oxide should be cleaned from contact surface. The primary terminal of CT can not bear over-load from the BUS. The horizontal load on primary terminal should not over 2000N.
3.5 The CT is earthed through erathing pad on the base, the earthing wire can not be too thin.
4 Check before operation
4.1 The CT should be taken a careful examination thoroughly before operating. Pay special attention to the cleanliness of porcelain and the quality of all electric connection, and check if oil level indication is normal and earthing is reliable.
4.2 Measuring dielectric dissipation （tanδ）, test voltage is 10kV and Um/ kV.
